Pilar Gleboff is a self-taught Chilean artist based in Buenos Aires since 2016.
Raised in a multicultural family of artists and entrepreneurs, Pilar grew up surrounded by creativity. She developed a deep interest in art from a young age and maintained a personal and intimate relationship with it.
In addition to being a journalist and holding a degree in communications, Pilar is certified in Business Ontological Coaching and has studied digital marketing, Reiki, painting, decoration, aromatherapy, and contemporary art, among other subjects. After living in Chile, Australia, the United States, and Brazil, Pilar decided to settle in Argentina with her family. In 2016, she founded Welna Store, a brand specializing in uniquely designed carpets, and she used to travel annually to personally select antique carpets. Following the pandemic, she chose to close Welna, marking the beginning of Hi Calma.
Driven by her creative spirit and her passion for the arts, well-being, and communication, Pilar opened her own art studio to encompass all her diverse experiences. Today, Hi Calma is a lively art studio and workshop located in Opendoor, Luján, Buenos Aires, where Pilar has been residing since 2023.
Pilar's journey is characterized by a deep connection with nature and spirituality, which are reflected in her artwork. Her creative process is a voyage of self-discovery and an exploration of the connections between human beings and their surroundings. Through her pieces, she aims to convey a message of harmony and serenity, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a world of beauty and contemplation. With each brushstroke, Pilar seeks to capture the very essence of life and share her unique perspective of the world with her audience.

Each work of Pilar Gleboff arises from her deep reflection on the enigmas of existence and the need to look inward in a society that often discourages such introspection.
Its objective is to create pieces that connect us with our own history, inviting us to contemplation, understanding and serenity.
Pilar explores a wide variety of signs, figures and abstract representations in her works, accompanied by a primarily neutral and earthy color palette, which she perceives as evocative of spirituality.
Additionally, he employs a variety of techniques and materials in his creative process, finding pleasure in painting alone and improvised.
His travels are a constant source of inspiration, drawing on experiences that are then reflected in his work through new, unexpected forms of expression. She draws inspiration from a wide range of artists, from Hilma af Klint and Agnes Martin to Kiki Smith and Olafur Eliasson, among others.
His deep commitment to the exploration of the inner being and the connection with nature is reflected in every stroke of his works. Pilar finds in the solitude of the creative process a space conducive to connecting with her most intimate self and giving life to her artistic vision. Through his art, he seeks not only to transmit emotions and personal reflections, but also to inspire the viewer to immerse themselves in a journey of self-knowledge and contemplation of the universe that surrounds us.
